Aug 8, 2010 - Luego de su regreso a Venezuela, Carmen María Montiel se negó totalmente respecto a lo que había dicho primero en contra de los resultados del Miss Universo y que ganó la de Suecia "sólo una niña manipulable era lo que buscaban allí". ¿qué...? ¿yo...? yo no dije eso..." Al parecer la niña sufrió un ataque de amnesia decía la nota en el diario 2001. Y por eso en Vzla. Farándula la echaron a la papelera "por no mantener su palabra". Seguro fue Osmel Sousa quien le sugirió se negara.
